Grand Rapids Man Gets 68 Months for Wife's Death

A Grand Rapids man has pleading guilty to causing his wife’s death.

Monday, 49–year–old Terry Richards pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of second degree manslaughter and had a count of third–degree murder dropped.

Richards gave his wife Fentanyl at their home where she later died from an overdose.

The criminal complaint states his wife had overdosed before but Richards was able to bring her back by throwing water on her.

He’s sentenced to more than five and a half years in prison.
