Carlton Co. Authorities Search for Wanted Man

Man Allegedly Physically, Sexually Abused Woman

The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who authorities said sexually and physically assaulted an adult woman.

It happened sometime between 10:05 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. Tuesday.

The woman was driving on I-35 near Esko when she stopped to help a driver that was pulled over on the shoulder.

While she was helping the man, he physically and sexually assaulted her, according to authorities.

The victim was not hospitalized. 

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with a medium build, a shorter beard and short brown hair.

He was wearing a black Carhartt hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black work boots.

The vehicle was described as an approximately 2003 Ford F-150 extended cab with black “matte” paint and larger black “matte” color wheels along with low profile tires.

The photograph provided by the sheriff’s office is not of the suspect’s vehicle, but is similar to the victim’s description of the vehicle.
