A Wisconsin hospital is testing a patient for Ebola after they had recently been in West Africa.
The patient has been back in the Madison area for at least a week.
On Monday, they were taken to the hospital after developing a fever.
The hospital says the patient is in a containment unit isolated from most of the hospital.
“The patient had been out in society, with family and the community and so forth,” said Dr. Geoffrey Priest, with Meriter Health Services.
The hospital is not releasing the name, age or gender of the patient.
They expect to know if the person has Ebola in the next couple of days.
