Monday afternoon, students at North Star Academy shared story time, all in celebration of February being “I love to read” month.

Back in December, sixth through eighth graders read to elementary students, and this afternoon it was the youngsters’ turn to put their reading skills to the test, as children in kindergarten through third grade read to their older schoolmates.

“For these younger students to see older students excited to be here at school, excited to read, regardless of what subject area they’re going to go into,  the reading skills and writing skills are so important for success in life,” said sixth grade home base teacher Bree Johnson.

The school will continue reading–related activities throughout February.
