Locals explored a different way to get to work Friday morning.

In honor of national Winter Bike to Work Day, representatives from the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council greeted locals who wanted to try a different mode of transportation with warm beverages at a Duluth intersection.

“It’s good to get outside; it’s good exercise, and really what we’re thinking with is really, you can give it a try,” said James Gittemeier, transportation planner.

This is the first year Duluth has participated in the national campaign.
