Superior Mayoral Race Preliminary Election Results

Hagen and Paine to Compete for Superior Mayor

The polls are closed in Superior and preliminary numbers for this year’s primary mayoral election are in.

Incumbent Mayor Bruce Hagen came out on top with 1,616 votes.

In second place with 421 votes is Douglas County Board Supervisor Jim Paine.

Former city councilor Greg Mertzig came in with 314 votes.

Current city councilor Mike Herrick ended up with 299 votes.

Kalee Hermanson ended the race with 243 votes.

Hagen and Paine will move on to the spring mayoral election in April.
