Money Goes To Special Olympics Minnesota

We’re closing in on the final hours until the 2015 Polar Bear Plunge.
Close to 1,000 jumpers are registered, and well above $100,000 has been raised.
All funds benefit Special Olympics Minnesota, and will go toward things like uniforms, hotel stays, and renting out facilities.
It’s all for a group of people just asking for the opportunity.
“It’s important to offer the opportunity, it’s important to offer just the recognition and the ability to move beyond what people said they couldn’t do,” said Roberta Wachlin, a Special Olympics volunteer coordinator.
The FOX 21 news team will be jumping as well. Be sure to stop by and say hello!
