Proposal to Merge Carlton, Wrenshall School Districts Voted Down

Wrenshall Voted Against 3-1

In a Fox follow up, the proposal to combine Carlton and Wrenshall school districts has halted.

Discussions have been going on for 40 years between the two districts.

Uniting the two neighboring districts required two positive votes from both school boards.

The Wrenshall board turned it down in a 3-1 vote versus a 3-3 vote on the Carlton side.

The vote failed after the two sides could not agree no where the school would be built.
