The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra held their Young People’s concert inside the DECC.

For 45 minutes about a thousand students from the Twin Ports and Iron Range were swooned by classical music and great talent.

“They learn more about the composers, what the music is about,” said Rebecca Lynn Petersen, Executive Director of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. “It’s a really great integrative process of learning about life and music and then having them experience it coming to symphony hall.”

DSSO has not put on the concert in the last couple of years because of funding.

A Kickstarter made the program possible.

They hope to do it again next year.
