Walker Says He Will Sign Right-to-Work Bill Monday
Wisconsin's Governor to Sign Right-to-Work Bill Next Week
Gov. Scott Walker says he plans to sign a right-to-work bill into law on Monday, not by the end of this week as he had previously said.
Walker made the comment Wednesday during a speech at the annual business day event organized by the state chamber of commerce.
The bill is moving quickly through the Legislature.
It passed the Senate last week.
The Assembly plans to debate it starting Thursday morning, finishing no later than Friday morning at 9 a.m.
Walker did not indicate in his speech why he was waiting until Monday to sign the bill.
But he told the business leaders at the meeting that making Wisconsin a right-to-work state will spur investment and help the economy.
