Care Packages to Military Personnel

Students Donate Items to Local Troops

Sorry, this video is no longer available

A service project for middle school students at St. James consists of sending care packages for a local troop overseas.

The students each made letters to show personal support to military personnel.

They have also donated all sorts of items to fill care packages intended for men and women serving on active duty overseas.

The items in the care packages include jerky, protein bars, crackers, chap stick, toiletries, hand warmers, etc.

The students wanted to show their support to the soldiers and all they have done for our country.

The project is more personal this year because a parent of one student is one of the recipients.

Ivy’s dad, an 8th grade student St. James, is with the 950th Route Clearance Company out of Superior and is currently in Afghanistan.

They are expected home next Christmas.
