You may have noticed new signs for Duluth’s experimental automated parking technology on the 300 block of West Superior Street.

The new ones are sturdier, have a different color scheme, not as susceptible to vandalism and have instructions on the back about how to use the system.

Parking officials say all of the enhancements bode well with drivers.

“The clear way that the spaces are marked with the numbers facing the spaces is something that people are appreciating,” City of Duluth Parking Operations Specialist Mark Bauer said. “The color scheme actually has gotten some very nice compliments as well.”
