Duluth Airport Sees Drop In Vegas Route

Officials with the Duluth Airport told FOX 21 Tuesday that while Allegiant’s direct flight to Las Vegas was still operating as usual, there is concern of some downward trends.

But at the same time, officials said it was not uncommon for a fall in ticket sales this time of year.

Officials also confirmed there was no word that Allegiant Airlines is pulling out of the Duluth market.

“In order for us to have flight options with airline partners and destinations and number of flights, it is important that we have demand in the area,” said Natalie Peterson, Director of Communications and Marketing at the Duluth Airport. “It takes us working hard on our end, but it also takes the community to support that demand.”

Las Vegas has been a destination from Duluth for the past nine years.
