For the last six years Community Action Duluth’s JumpStart program has helped to provide vehicles to people who are low income and without transportation.

To recognize those efforts community members and leaders attended a transportation celebration event held inside the nonprofits facility.

Festivities also included two refurbished vehicles donated to community members.

“It really does help them move forward with life,” said Heidi St. John with the Community Action Duluth. “Really be part of the economic and mainstream fabric of the Duluth community.”

The group also highlighted the proposed “Getting to Work” legislation which would help Minnesotans with more transportation.
