The 50 ft. ice sculpture in Superior is set to come down within the next week.

Sculptor, Roger Hanson, says he planned to tear it down Monday, March 2nd but because of the popular demand over the weekend he decided to hold off for a few days.

Hanson says the winds here are perfect for the big crash.

“I’ve got mixed feelings about this thing going down and ending but I’m going home now and I’m going to take what I’ve learned here and work on infrastructure to try and make this a colossal event,” expressed Hanson.

Hanson has enjoyed being a part of the community and says he will take advantage of the few days he has left.

“Trying to enjoy some of the restaurants in the area and enjoy talking to different people about the system.”

Hanson plans to tear down on March 8th.
