A few dollars will get you a free meal and help out a Northland project.

The second annual Duluth Soup Event kicks off this Thursday at Clyde Iron Works.

Five dollars will get you in the door, a full meal that includes soup, salad and bread and you get to vote on four creative projects.

Whichever idea gets the most votes will take home all the money collected at the door to help complete the venture.

“I feel like a lot of them really couldn’t do these projects without the funding that we gather from the crowd,” Duluth Soup Executive Director Kat Hansberry said.

The event starts at 6 p.m.
