A handful of people turned out to embrace and celebrate winter Saturday afternoon in Canal Park.
Destination Duluth hosted the fun and free event for families.
Ski Hut, Positive Energy and UMD Rec were on hand to showcase some winter activities including snowshoes, sled dogs and fat tire bikes.
“People are moving to Duluth because of the quality of life of Duluth we’re just trying to celebrate that. (Plus) let’s face it, winter is long and now it’s March. We can see the end, right? So that’s what we’re trying to do, just celebrate winter,” said Tom Livingston with Destination Duluth.
There was even a bonfire held in Canal Park as people watched the sunset.
