Swanky Sweet Pea is a vibrant little shop specializing in dessert inspired bath bombs.

RaeAnne Conat never envisioned she’d be a business owner.

That is, until her life took her to Washington.

“(I was a) stay at home mom. My husband is active duty military so I wanted to do something that I could start to do from home and basically pay for daycare,” said Conat.

She created a sugary confection that landed her back in her hometown of International Falls.

Swanky Sweet Pea ships out more than 150 orders per month.

“It’s about 99–percent wholesale,” said Conat.

A lot of her items are sold to up-scale boutiques, more than 1,000 retailers nationwide.

“Cupcake bath bombs, ice cream cone bath bombs, cake slice bath bombs,” said Conat.

The dessert inspired bath products have gotten her quite the recognition.

“We won the Labovitz award and then Amy Klobuchar stopped here and she wanted to tour the facility for small businesses made in America,” explained Conat.

Despite her sudden success she isn’t losing sight of the bigger picture, her customers.

“It’s always been really important to us that we have an affordable product. I like that you can go in and it’s a product, under 10–dollars for a gift that is going to make someone feel amazing,” said Conat.
