Ashland Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

The Ashland Police Department is searching for a man who held up a motel at gunpoint Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched at 12:54 a.m. to the Super 8 Motel at 1610 West Lakeshore Drive for an armed robbery.

The suspect is described as short and stocky with a black bandana covering his face.

He was armed with a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him all the money, according to police.

The clerk complied with his demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect took the cash and fled the area in a dark colored SUV.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
