An Iron Range business has bounced back after it was damaged in a fire about two months ago.

Black Bear Bakery on West Lake Street in Chisholm suffered significant smoke and water damage after an antique shop next door caught fire.

The bakery was closed for nine days.

In all of the seven years of business the past two months have been the hardest.

“Just in the last year everything was going smooth up until the last year with the fire next door. Actually we came out of it and painted and brightened the place up a bit,” explained Black Bear Bakery owner Iona Lutt.

The bakery is known for its doughnuts and pasties.
