North Star Academy Students ‘Go Wild’ Decorating Teachers

Students at North Star Academy got a fun incentive for reading and it involved clippers, make-up, and hairspray.

As part of I Love to Read month elementary students stuck with their theme of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and went wild on their teachers.

They creatively shaved Mr. Petersen’s head and beard, watched Mr. Lindberg do the tango, and pampered Ms. Rackliffe by doing her hair, make up, and nails.

“Learning is a lifelong skill and we have fun our whole life,” said North Star Academy K-2 Director, Tammy Rackliffe. “They need to have that instilled in them as well.”

Teachers say they’ll do whatever it takes to get kids to read more while at home.
