Gardner Won’t Seek Re-election as Duluth Councilor

Duluth Councilor Won't Seek 3rd Term

Duluth city councilor Sharla Gardner announced late Monday night she will not be running for a third term.

Gardner started her career as a city councilor in 2007 when she committed to eight years in office.

She is staying true to her promise and says it is time for her to “pursue other interests and goals.”

She tells Fox 21 working with Mayor Ness and his administration has been an interesting and very rewarding experience and being elected by the people of the 3rd District is an honor and a privilege.

She says she’s grateful to them for the opportunity to serve.
