Police: Grand Rapids Man Stabbed Family Member

Arguement Allegedly Turned Violent

A 31-year-old Grand Rapids man is in the Itasca County Jail following assault accusations.

Police were called to a domestic argument that turned violent around 1:47 a.m. Wednesday.

The man allegedly stabbed another family member multiple times during the argument, according to police.

The victim was taken to Grand Itasca Hospital and later transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth to be treated for multiple stab wounds.

Police did not release the victim’s condition.

Charges are pending against the suspect.
