Hundreds of Northlanders packed Fitger’s Friday to get their hands on tasty eats while helping out a good cause.

It was all part of the 21st Annual Taste at Fitger’s event.

More than 40 of the area’s finest local restaurants were serving up their best dishes accompanied with different wines.

All of the proceeds will go to Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.

“As they are enjoying food, they are actually providing food for other people who need it to just to survive. So I think the takeaway from all this is, ‘I had a good time tonight and I did a good thing,’” said Ken Buehler, a volunteer.

Second Harvest feeds more than 1,500 people every month.

The non-profit’s biggest fundraiser is the Empty Bowl event kicking off April 14 at The Depot.
