Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery in Sawyer

On Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at approximately 7:57 p.m., the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an aggravated robbery at the Sawyer convenience Store on Hwy 210 in Sawyer, Minnesota.

The store clerk indicated that a man, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180-200 pounds,entered the store and displayed a knife, demanding cash.

The suspect then fled the store on foot with a small amount of cash.

Officers from the Fond du Lac Police Department, Minnesota DNR, and Carlton County Sheriff’s deputies responded.

The suspect has not been located yet and the investigation continues.
