There’s a new Hermantown city ordinance that’s loosened up restrictions on where you can ride if own a recreational vehicle.
Licensed four-wheelers, side-by-sides, and snowmobiles will now be able to drive on city streets and some county roads.
Hermantown police say in the past they’ve had complaints about riders not being able to easily access trails and riding in places they weren’t supposed to.
“We decided that allowing them to travel on the furthest most right hand side of city streets would alleviate some of that,” explained Hermantown Police Chief Jim Crace.
Chief Crace says the new law is designed to promote outdoor recreation.
