Minnesota House DFL leaders and local lawmakers visited Duluth Tuesday to give an update on the legislative session.

They filled city hall to discuss topics like education and the recently announced budget proposal.

Rep. Mary Murphy (DFL-Hermantown) says lawmakers have heard opinions and concerns from people across the state, and reminds them the budget is merely a proposal now in the hands of lawmakers.

“Now it’s up to us to make the right choices for all the people of the state, for our kids, for our families, for our elders. And we’re going to do that,” she said.

The event was part of a statewide tour by house DFL legislators during the 2015 session ‘spring break.’
