St. Louis County Commissioner Won’t Run for Mayor
Dahlberg Won't Run for Duluth Mayor
St. Louis County Commissioner Chris Dahlberg, who has been encouraged by many Duluthians during the past few months to run for mayor in November, has decided against doing so.
“When I announced last year that I was not going to seek reelection as a County Commissioner, the reason was because I wanted to spend more time with my daughter, refurbish my home in Morgan Park and simply take a break from politics,” said Dahlberg. “After Mayor Ness said he wasn’t going to run for reelection, many were encouraging me to run for the office, which was flattering. But in the end, my desire to take a break has not changed.
“I thank the people who encouraged me to run for mayor and I look forward to joining other Duluthians in voting for the best candidate to be our city’s next leader.”
