Port of Duluth-Superior Recognizes 1st Saltie
Kom Arrives, Receives Warm Welcome

The port of Duluth-Superior welcomed the first saltie with open arms Monday afternoon and on Wednesday several gathered to celebrate it’s arrival.
After traveling 25 days all the way from Spain, the Kom made its arrivel to the Northland.
All 19 crew members were welcomed by the Port.
The captain says he is overwhelmed by how they have been treated.
“A lot of people are good here and I feel friendly feelings to me,” said Captain Mariyan Yotov.
The saltie is heading out Thursday morning to head to it’s next destination in Italy.
