Locals lined up at 5 o’clock in the morning just to get their hands on exclusive tunes and collector’s items.

The international Record Store Day kicked off to promote independent record stores.

Electric Fetus in downtown Duluth took part in the celebration.

Offering exclusive and limited vinyl releases, live music, giveaways and of course food.

“Listening to records versus cd’s or downloaded music it’s just a little bit more of an experience,” Electric Fetus General Manager Carrie Brown said. “It’s more interactive. I mean you got the big jacket, the big the beautiful art. You get all the liner notes in a record.”

This is the 8th year Electric Fetus has participated in Record Store Day.
