Sammy’s Pizza is celebrating 61 years of flipping pies and pleasing taste buds around The Northland.

To honor their customers, Sammy’s is offering a half–priced, single-topping pizza with the purchase of a 14 or 16 inch pie Monday through Thursday.

With 17 locations across the Midwest, the owners of Sammy’s have kept their pizzerias family owned since the beginning.

“We’re mostly proud of our dough and our sauce, which are homemade recipes, originated in Hibbing in 1954, and passed down through the generations,” said Sam Perrella, an owner of Sammy’s Pizza.

Thursday, $5 off 14-and 16-inch pizza sales will go to the local Disabled American Veteran’s chapter.
