Junior League of Duluth Grand Opening

DULUTH, Minn – For 94-years the Junior League of Duluth has been in existence and Tuesday it finally opened a new office in West Duluth.

As part of the grand opening there was a gift giving ceremony in which they gifted $31,000 to several local organizations in town including the Let It Grow Program.

The program is a collaboration of more than five local initiatives aimed on nutrition and healthy eating.

“Trying to solve the issue of food insecurities and we’re looking at a community garden and greenhouse in the West Duluth are in the empty vacant lot by Denfeld High School, said Junior League of Duluth President Barbara Carr.

The Junior League is open to all women in the Northland 21 and older.
