Overnight Fire in Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. – Just before 4:00a.m. Sunday Duluth Firefighters responded to a blaze in East Duluth.

When crews arrived at the 1700 block of 5th St. East they found heavy fire on the exterior of a two-story home.

They were able to quickly contain the blaze from spreading.

The residents of the home were able to escape and no injuries were resported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

However there is a Minnesota Arson Hotline sign on the front lawn of the residence. 

Damage estimates are well over $60,000.
