Student School Board Member Gets $3,000 Scholarship

A Proctor High School senior is getting a jump start funding her college education.

Amber Bennett serves on the Proctor School Board and was awarded a $3,000 scholarship at Pike Lake Elementary School Monday night.

Only two student school board members are awarded the money throughout Minnesota.

Bennett said she feels honored and blessed.

“Now being able to be presented with money for just going and doing something I enjoy is crazy,” she said.

Bennett plans on going to UWS after graduation.
