Mother & Son Die in Fire in Northern WI
Two People Die in Northern Wisconsin
On Friday at approx. 0414hours, the Bayfield Co Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire at 88700 Siskiwit Falls Rd in the Town of Bell, Cornucopia WI.
The fire did claim the lives of the owners who are identified as 95-year-old Dorothy Swenson and her son, 62-year-old Dennis Swenson of Cornucopia along with the family dog.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
Investigating the fire are the Wisconsin Dept. of Criminal Investigation/State Fire Marshall, Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Bayfield County Coroner.
Other agencies that responded to this fire were: Cornucopia Fire Dept., Herbster Fire Dept., Portwing Fire Dept. along with South Shore EMS personnel.
