Proctor is looking for advice from the Minnesota Design Team for the city’s future.

Friday night, a dinner was held at Blackwoods for team members to meet with the community and hear opinions on where to direct their focus.

Some topics included incorporating the unique railroad into the city, and making a more viable downtown.

“One of the ways in which we can help is something that we like to call downtown beautification, and that is a building gets a new façade, gets paint, fresh trim. That is also in landscaping, making the street more friendly for pedestrians,” explained Samantha Schultz with the Minnesota Design Team.

Saturday, the design team will be implementing the information gathered Friday, and present solutions to the city.
