UWS Hosts First Tedx Conference

UWS held a conference Sunday diving into hot and debatable topics.

For the first time the campus hosted a TEDx event which is a program featuring speakers that spark conversations about different issues.

Students explored the areas of free and accessible higher education, religion and sex and relationships.

“These videos that we handpicked are perfect to create a chance for how to handle a debate,” UWS exchange student Haythem Rabti said. “How to get familiar with other parts of the world, what they think about this topic not just how it is here. How is it outside of the United States.”

The campus is hoping to host another TEDx conference next year.
