Bear Up in Tree Near Duluth City Hall

Bears Rests in Tree in Downtown Duluth

A bear that’s been up in a tree near Duluth’s City Hall came down for a brief time and then made a run for another tree which he went up into.

The Duluth Police Department said they are going to leave a bear in the tree at this time in hopes that the bear will come down again on its own.

The police department has spoken to the DNR about different options.

The DNR is available to assist if needed.

Duluth Police are continuing to monitor the bear’s activity.

Witnesses first reported seeing the bear around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Duluth Police are requesting the public stay away at this time due to safety concerns and they appreciate your cooperation.
