Adds to Massive Collection of Papal Memorabilia

There a few things in life as rare as a baseball autographed by the Pope.

But a Duluth priest, who collects papal memorabilia, can now add this prize to his collection.

Just last week while in Rome on a business trip, the priest applied for a special ticket to meet Pope Francis.

He had been turned down three times before, but this time, he finally got his wish.

“He was ready to move on to the next person and I took out the baseball and a sharpie and I said, ‘Your Holiness, would you sign the ball for me?’ And he just went like this, and then he took it and he signed it like oh, why not?” explained Father Richard Kunst.

The priest says he has autographs from every pope since 1623.
