It’s been long overdue but the Cathedral School in Superior is finally receiving the makeover it needs for the next generation.

A ceremony was held Thursday afternoon to celebrate the beginning of the exterior remodeling project.

The construction includes replacing the school’s original 1950’s windows and glass block with energy efficient windows and wall system, as well as tuck pointing the brick exterior.

Father Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King says they could not have done this alone.

“Literally hundreds of people have been working together to bring this holy project to fruition and so many people working for so long to bring us to this day,” said Ricci.

After 4 years in the making, the school is excited to see their dream become a reality.

“The work that we have been doing for so long to come to fruition now to allow us to have Catholic education here in the community for a long time.”

Construction will start May 11th and end September 8th before the school year begins.
