2 men shot dead in St. Michael home; suspect arrested

Firearm used in Saturday killings

(AP) – Police are holding a young man after two men were shot dead at a home in St. Michael.

The killings happened Saturday night at a house.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty says a suspect is in custody, and the public is not in danger.

Hagerty says a “firearm is suspect” as the weapon used in the killings.

The sheriff says it is “not a stranger-related crime.”

The Star Tribunereports jail records show the suspect is 21 years old and lives at the house where the killings occurred.

The suspect surrendered to authorities at a convenience store in nearby Monticello.

Authorities have not released the names of anyone involved or a possible motive for the killings.
