Two Danbury Teens Injured in Crash

Two Danbury, Wisconsin teens were injured when their SUV rolled off the road near Spooner, Wisconsin Wednesday.

Sixteen year old Courtney Gardner suffered life threatening injuries when she lost control of her vehicle around 8 a.m., 15 miles south of Dock Lake Road.

Her passenger 14–year–old Collin Gardner had non-life threatening injuries.

An initial investigation shows Courtney Gardner had been heading south on County Highway A when she traveled onto the right shoulder and lost control of the vehicle, going into the ditch and rolling over several times.

Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol believe she was distracted by the radio just prior to leaving the road but are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Both were wearing seat belts and authorities say alcohol wasn’t involved.
