Friday night, Duluthians put on their dresses and big hats to celebrate the 7th annual Duluth Playhouse fundraiser.

This year’s them was “Derby & Dice,” where guests got to play casino games like Blackjack and Texas Hold ‘Em, and take pictures with Charm, a real horse.

Event organizers say there is a lot that the Playhouse has to offer to the community.

“There’s so much that can be learned from theater,” said Ashlee Hartwig, Marketing Director at the Duluth Playhouse. “Right away, from a young age all the way up to adults, just so many skills could be learned. Social skills, public speaking, performance, getting more comfortable in front of a group of people.”

Fox 21’s Diane Alexander was a celebrity dealer at the event.
