You might be on a mission to get your vegetables and flowers in the ground by Memorial Day.

But before you start sowing seeds experts recommend using good organic compost in your garden and watching the weather since Memorial Day is a week earlier this year.
“No frost, you don’t want frost,” Gardening Junky owner Laurie Gaudino said. “You make a huge investment in your plants and your time putting things out so you wanna make sure you baby them a little bit this time of year.”
If you want to start a garden but don’t have a lawn gardeners advise putting plants and veggies in pots and containers and storing them on your patio or deck.
