Annual Bike Rodeo Encourages Kids to Get Out & Ride

Thursday, elementary students in the Hillside neighborhood practiced their basic bike skills at the 2nd annual bike rodeo.
The event taught children safety tips about biking, and encouraged children to bike to school to promote healthy living.
“I want to see kids riding their bikes, and I want to see kids being out and being active, and knowing that you can ride a bike and do a lot of the same things on a car, on a bike,” said Justin Olson, Chairman of the Bike Rodeo.
Free helmets were given out to children who didn’t already own one.
