Superior Police Arrest Man Who Fled After Traffic Stop
On May 21, 2015 at about 19:30 Hrs, Narcotics Investigators from Superior PD and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located a 36-year-old man who was wanted on probable cause for fleeing from a traffic stop on 05/12/15.
When confronted the man again ran from officers and fled into a home in the 2000 Block of N. 59th St.
A perimeter was established and attempts were made to call him out of the residence.
These attempts were unanswered.
A search warrant was sought and granted for the residence.
A probation warrant was also issued for the man.
Due to a possibility of weapons available in the residence, the Superior Police Department’s Emergency Response Team was called out to assist.
At approximately 23:00 Hrs, the Emergency Response Team entered the residence to search for him.
He was located in an attic space and was taken into custody without incident.
The man was lodged in the Douglas County Jail for the Felony Probation Warrant, (2) counts of Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, and (1) count of Knowingly Fleeing an Officer.
