Congdon Hosts Annual Garden Sale

Plants took over Congdon Elementary Friday.

The school kicked off its annual plant sale to help raise nearly $2,000 to maintain the school and community garden program.

“Research shows that those that grow their food often are more likely to eat it,” Congdon Elementary environmental concerns chair Renee Willensen said. “So it’s a great way for learning more about plants and also eating healthy.”

There were about 500 edible plants and perennials for sale.
