Hartley Nature Center Launches Kickstarter for Playground

Sorry, this video is no longer available

Hartley Nature Center needs your help funding a project that will get kids outdoors.

The nonprofit started a Kickstarter to raise $10,000 to build a playscape, which is a playground made out of materials like sand, dirt and sticks as opposed to plastic.

It will be 5,000 square feet in size.

Kids will be able to build, dig, explore and lots more.

“Our playscape doesn’t prescribe the way they should play, its all of the loose breeds,” Hartley Nature Center Executive Director Tom O’Rourke said. “Helps them just create and invent their own play and that’s one of the best ways that kids learn.”

You can donate on their Kickstarter page through July 3.
