Hermantown Narrows Down List of Candidates for Superintendent

Six Finalists Selected for Hermantown Superintendent

The Hermantown School Board has selected six finalists to interview for the school district’s superintendent vacancy.

The finalists were selected from a pool of 15 applicants based on criteria established by the school board.

The six finalists are:

* Kimberly Belcastro, Superintendent, Wrenshall Public Schools
* Kerry Juntunen, Principal, Hermantown Middle School, Hermantown Community
Schools
* Alexis Leitgeb, Superintendent, Ely Public Schools
* John Muenich, Principal, Hermantown High School
* Beth Schwarz, Superintendent, Cook County School District
* James Wagner, Superintendent, Kimball Area Schools

The school board has scheduled interviews for the finalists at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, and 4 p.m. Monday, June 15, in the board room at the district office, 4307 Ugstad Road, Hermantown.

All interviews are open to the public.
