Two Men Charged for Rice Lake Township Home Invasion

Suspects in Armed Home Invasion Charged

Two people have been charged in connection to an armed home invasion in Rice Lake Township.

Twenty–nine year old John Sorenson and 24–year–old Guy Rabold are both from Duluth.

Rabold is charged with first degree burglary, aiding and abetting first degree aggravated robbery, being a felon with a firearm and theft of a motor vehicle.

His bail is set at $200,000.

Sorenson was charged with aiding and abetting first degree aggravated robbery, first degree burglary and second degree criminal sexual conduct.

Sorenson’s bail is set at $150,000.

Early Friday morning St. Louis County authorities caught the two trying to escape them.

Police say they held the homeowners at gunpoint and forced to open their gun safe so they could steal their guns from them.

Both will be back in court July 1st.
